To our Harbor Harvest Urban Ministries families and supporters,
I am sitting here writing you this open letter on the last Friday of the 7th week of the Summer Exploration Program. What a summer it has been!! We have the largest attendance ever in our three years of our revised Summer Exploration Program and it has been an great experience overall. It’s not too late to come and volunteer. Our final week is August 2-6th and our Family Celebration is Saturday August 7, 2010 at 10 am. HHUM recognizes the continue finds ways to increase our effectiveness and the changes are underway. The HHUM Board of Governance voted to implement a restructuring plan and the first result of this action was the elimination of the Office Assistant position effective July 30, 2010. During the remainder of the summer, the HHUM office will be covered by volunteers and we will utilize our voicemail until a more organized plan is put in place. Please be patient with us as we make the necessary changes that will insure more effective program delivery for our youth and families.
Our fall programs will begin mid September and we look forward to talking to you about serving as a volunteer.
